We keep registers to record attendance and if your children arrive late they must be signed in at the office.  If, for any reason, you have to take your child out of school during the day (to the dentist, for example), you will be asked to ‘register’ him/her at the school office on leaving and returning to school.  The children must not be on the school site before 8.40 am, and should have left the school by 3.35pm.

As the children arrive from 8.40am they go straight into their classroom to start their early work. Please encourage your child(ren) to come into school independently.  At the end of the school day they collect their bags and coats and meet their parents outside. The Reception and Year One pupils are supervised as they are collected at the end of the school day and all other classes are carefully monitored by their teachers to make sure that they are collected safely.   Parents are asked to ensure their children do not arrive early as our supervision arrangements start at 8.40am.  We also ask that pupils do not stay on the premises to play after school and please never allow them to use bikes or scooters on the school premises.

If, for any reason, your child is unable to attend school (due to ill health, for example), please telephone the office by 9.00am to advise the school.  All unreported absences will be followed-up with a phone call from the office.  We have an automated absence reporting system, which is available 24 hours a day - just choose option 1 as soon as you hear the recorded message start.
